Celtic Rider Motorcycle & Car Rental in Ireland has compiled a selection of award winning self-guided tours with detailed routes and accommodation included in the price. This has taken quite some effort over the years on our part but we feel it to be a wonderful option for our clients. We have found from our clients feedback over the years, that they were extremely happy with our choice of quality Irish B&B or hotel accommodation, and location in traditional towns and villages. All cars are fitted with new Garmin Zumo 590 LM GPS to get you to your accommodation without the hassle of getting lost. Also the Garmin can easily be set to avoid main roads etc., this guarantees to keep you on minor country roads. The choice is yours to make on a daily basis…
Day 1 Celtic Rider to Killarney
- Transfer to collect motorcycle, then enjoy our safety orientation course.
Depart Celtic Rider Rental station heading south west across the midlands of Ireland, via the M7, Limerick, city of Culture 2014, Adare, onwards to Killarney.
Adare town, excellent place to stop for lunch, is 100 miles from Celtic Rider, Adare is a really nice town with traditional thatched roofs on many homes and nice restaurants.
Arrive in Killarney, a bustling country town full of colourful shops and quaint restaurants and pubs, really great town. Killarney town was voted ‘Tidiest Town in Ireland’ .
Check into Irish guesthouse or hotel accommodation.
Killarney is an 15th century designed town with tree-lined streets and stunning castles in close proximity
Ross Castle is open to the public, fine example of an Irish Lakeside Castle
Have a social drink and enjoy good pub food in the many pubs in Killarney. There are great traditional Irish music sessions and nice restaurants in this vibrant town.
Day 2 Killarney to Killarney via Gap of Dunloe
- Either take a rest day and cruise the Killarney lakes taking in the majestic Mountain views and a pony and trap ride over the Gap of Dunloe, plus a bit of shopping, relax if you wish.
Alternatively, drive the world famous Ring of Kerry, and the incredible Gap of Dunloe, the most beautiful glaciated valley in Europe, a challenging drive but very much worth the effort.
Continue around the route and deviate to drive the Skellig Ring, another awesome off shoot off the main Ring of Kerry
Day 3 Killarney to Celtic Rider via Rock of Cashel
- Travel back to Celtic Rider via Rock of Cashel
Again, enjoy the agricultural midlands of Ireland as you drive back in the opposite direction to Day one.
Continue to Celtic Rider Rental station, gas up on way back, Last fuel stop saved in favourites in your Garmin.
We will assist with unpacking, check over of motorcycle and paperwork before arranging drop off to your hotel or Dublin Airport

Some of Our Small Print
Riders must have a full license for riding the category of motorcycles that we rent and the rider must be 25 years of age or older.A pre-authorisation for damage excess of €1500 will be reserved on your credit card on collection of the motorcycle. For motorcycles going abroad the damage deposit is €2500. This is the maximum cost charged in the event of accidental damage or theft. Your signature on the rental agreement page shall constitute authority for us to debit the final total charges against your account and your specific card-issuing organization. Celtic Rider office staff must be notified immediately of any accidents.
