Safety Orientation

Module 1

The safety of all our client's is paramount in Celtic Rider. Our award winning Safety Orientation Course was designed in 2010, and is standard with all self-guided tours. Any rider who wishes to simply hire a bike and book a Safety Orientation Course can do so for €100 per rider. Over the years we have learnt that not only do client's enjoy our Safety Orientation Course, but they come out feeling more confident and content on their bike.

The Safety Orientation Course is delivered over two modules. Module One will fill you in on our road law's, what to watch out for whilst you are riding in Ireland, and some common mistakes made by those who have never ridden on our roads. There will also be instructions on the use of the Garmin 590LM sat-nav during this session, and riders are welcome to have a Q & A after. Tea, coffee, fruit and snacks are all served during this mid-morning classroom session, and afterwards riders will suit up and prepare for their ride-out with one of our Celtic Rider team members.

Module two consists of the ride-out with one of our Celtic Rider Team. Riders who have booked one of our self-guided tours will be brought out for the first two hours of their tour. Your Celtic Rider leader will be pointing out some road signs along the way and by following him you will quickly adjust to our roads and good riding habits will be formed. This ride-out is crucial for setting the riding standard for the remainder of your tour.

NB. If you are not familiar with the model of motorbike that you have booked with Celtic Rider, please visit a dealership and request that you take a test ride on the model that you have booked with us. This will only enhance your experience when you arrive at Celtic Rider and remove any jitters that you may be feeling prior to your tour!
